The Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee is pleased to team up with the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and the Republican Town Committee to host a debate and meet the candidates night at Tewksbury Town Hall on Thursday, March 14, 2019, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Candidates for Selectman, School Committee and Board of Health are invited to participate, and the event will be open to residents, press and interested parties. Tom Zuppa, senior editor of The Sun of Lowell and Sentinel & Enterprise of Fitchburg, will be lead moderator. Tom will be joined by Bill Gilman of Your Tewksbury Today and a student journalist from Tewksbury Memorial High School.
Why are we working with our Republican counterparts? Because we believe it is vital that voters have as many opportunities as possible to make an informed decision, given the opportunities and challenges facing Tewksbury. We hope that by bringing the two town committees together along with the business community, we will maximize the number of residents paying attention to this important election.
The public is invited to submit questions via the event Facebook page or through Twitter with the hashtag: #TewksburyCandidatesNight.
For those who cannot attend, the event will be broadcast live by Tewksbury Telemedia on public access channels (8 for Comcast, 33 for Verizon) and recorded for later viewing.
